About Ryane Miller
Owner and therapist. Licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina.

Ryane Miller, MSW, LCSW
I built this practice for people who feel things deeply.
Hi, my name is Ryane. I am the owner and therapist here, and I work with adults across North Carolina by HIPAA-compliant telehealth video.
My own path into this work started with recognizing the highly sensitive person trait in myself long before I had a name for it. Roughly 15 to 20 percent of people are born with it. It is not a diagnosis and it is not something to be fixed. It means your nervous system takes in more detail, processes it more deeply, and needs more recovery afterward than the world usually accounts for.
Most of the sensitive adults I meet have spent years being told they are too much, too quiet, or too intense, and have gotten very good at hiding the cost. My job is not to help you perform normal more convincingly. It is to help you understand how you actually work, then build a life that runs on that instead of against it.
How I Work
Sessions are collaborative and unhurried. You set the agenda, I bring structure, and we go at a pace that leaves you steadier at the end of the hour than you were at the start. I will ask direct questions, and I will not push past a no.
In practice that draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused and Strengths Based work. Which of those we use depends on you, not on a protocol.
I see adults for stress and burnout, life transitions, anxiety, relationships, and the ongoing work of navigating life with high sensitivity. I do not promise a particular outcome or a set number of sessions, because I would be guessing, and you have had enough of people guessing about you.
