Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: we look at the thought patterns that keep anxiety and stress running, and practice new ones.
My Approach
In every interaction with me, you will find genuine curiosity, compassion, and a safe space for sharing and exploration.
At Highly Sensitive Therapy and Wellness, I am committed to helping you cultivate the life you want to live, while supporting you every step of the way on your path to personal growth and emotional health. I currently offer virtual therapy services to all residents of North Carolina.
Tailored care for each individual
You are more than just your challenges. You have a unique story, ambitions, and lived experience that matters. From our initial meeting, I strive to listen deeply and understand fully. This understanding guides me as I design treatment plans that not only address your immediate needs but also support your growth well into the future.
Specialized support for Highly Sensitive People
High sensitivity is a trait, not a diagnosis. You are born with it, and how it shows up depends a lot on how you grew up and whether the people around you understood it. Together we look at which parts of the trait affect you most, what drains you and what restores you, and how to build goals around your strengths instead of around hiding them.

I use evidence-based techniques that are proven to work. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship dynamics, issues with conflict, or chronic stress, I utilize therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Solution-Focused Therapy to foster resilience and promote client independence and work toward true lasting results.
Continuous support
My support for your well-being doesn't end when the session does. I am here to support you by providing guidance and resources that help you maintain and build on your progress. I ensure that you have the support you need to continue your journey from short-term to long-term wellness goals.
Methods I Draw On
Mindfulness-Based Work: you learn to notice what is happening in your body and mind before it takes over.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: you make room for hard feelings while still acting on what matters to you.
Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based Work: we stay pointed at what is already working and what you want next.
Somatic Work: when it helps, we use the body to settle an overloaded nervous system.
Which of these we use depends on you, not on a protocol.
Action, Not Just Reaction
My goal is to give you tools and action items you can use between sessions, so you can take back your time, manage anxiety and stress, and take an active part in your own life instead of always reacting to it. We set goals together early, check them often, and change course when something is not working.
What Sessions Are Like
Sessions happen over HIPAA-compliant telehealth video and last about 50 minutes. Many people start weekly and adjust as things improve. You set the agenda, and I bring structure, questions, and practical next steps. I work with adults 18 and older who are in North Carolina during our sessions, and this approach fits best when you are ready to do some work between sessions.
