Highly Sensitive Therapy & Wellness

Burnout Therapy in Charlotte, NC

For the quarter that never ended, and the person still delivering anyway.

HIPAA-compliant telehealth video sessions, never in person

Burnout Is Depletion, Not Sensitivity

Burnout has an arc. There is a stretch where you compensate, a stretch where you run on adrenaline and caffeine and it almost works, and then a flattening. Not sadness exactly. Distance. The account you used to care about becomes a set of tasks. The people you manage become items.

This is not the same problem as being highly sensitive, although the two travel together. Sensitivity is how much input you take in. Burnout is what happens when the input has exceeded the recovery for long enough that the system stops trying.

Why It Reads as Success in Charlotte

In banking, consulting, and the corporate teams that sit alongside them, burnout rarely looks like falling apart. It looks like the person who answers at eleven at night. It looks like a promotion accepted while already at capacity, because turning it down would say something you are not willing to have said about you.

Because the output holds, nobody intervenes. You end up being rewarded on the way down. That is the specific trap here, and it is why so many people in this city do not seek help until the body forces it.

What the Work Actually Involves

We start with an honest accounting of where the hours and the energy go, including the invisible labor of managing other people's moods. Then we look at what recovery would have to be true for a week to not end in deficit, and what has to change, or be declined, or be handed back, for that to be possible.

For a sensitive person this often means recognizing that the load is not only hours. It is the density of input inside those hours. Two identical calendars can cost two people very different amounts.

I do not promise a particular result or a set number of sessions. What I can offer is a place to look at this clearly, before the choice gets made for you.

Common Reasons People Reach Out

  • Sunday evening has a physical feeling attached to it
  • You are producing at the same level and feeling nothing about it
  • Sleep has stopped restoring anything
  • Home is getting the leftover version of you

How sessions work

I am Ryane Miller, MSW, LCSW. My North Carolina clinical social work license is held under my legal name, Ryan Miller, #C012653. Every appointment is a HIPAA-compliant telehealth video session. There is no office in Charlotte and no in person option anywhere. I work with adults who are physically in North Carolina during their sessions. I do not promise a particular outcome or a set number of sessions.
