Burnout Therapy in Greensboro, NC
When the schedule owns the sleep, and the sleep was the only thing holding it together.
HIPAA-compliant telehealth video sessions, never in person
Burnout That Runs on Sleep Debt
Where the work is scheduled by shift, burnout usually has a physiological engine underneath it. Rotating shifts. Mandatory overtime with short notice. Six days when someone quits. A body clock that never settles into one pattern long enough to benefit from it.
You can carry that for a surprisingly long time. What eventually gives is not the effort. It is the recovery, and once recovery is gone everything else degrades quickly, including patience, judgment, and the ability to care about anything outside the next shift.
The Cost of Being Dependable
There is a particular version of this that shows up in people who never say no. You are the one they call. You cover. You stay. You are genuinely good at the job, and being needed feels better than being rested, right up until it does not.
Meanwhile the household runs on your income and your reliability, which makes the idea of pulling back feel less like a boundary and more like a risk. That pressure is real and I am not going to pretend it away. We work inside it honestly.
What Is Actually Available to You
We look for the leverage that exists rather than the leverage you wish existed. What you can protect on your days off. Which asks you can decline without consequence and which you cannot. What the sleep can be, given the rotation you are on. Whether resentment is doing damage that a conversation could reduce.
Sessions are secure video, which means they can happen from a parked truck, a break room, or your kitchen. Adults, North Carolina only.
Common Reasons People Reach Out
- You are always tired and sleep does not fix it
- Your temper is shorter than it has ever been
- Days off disappear into errands and catching up
- You cover for everyone and would not know how to stop
