Relationships can be both rewarding and challenging. I work with individuals who are having challenges in their important relationships, including with spouses, romantic partners, friends, family members, and coworkers. I help you explore recurring patterns and practice healthy communication, conflict resolution, and repair. My goal is to empower you to show up authentically in the relationships that matter to you.

Career Changes and Big Moves

Career Changes and Big Moves

Life is a consistent series of changes and challenges. Cycles of beginnings and endings. Trying to navigate through these spaces can feel overwhelming…even unattainable. One thing I will continue to tell you at Highly Sensitive Therapy and Wellness is that you do NOT have to navigate alone! I have experience in assisting folks who are considering a job or education change, moving, starting or expanding a family, considering a break-up or divorce, parents aging, and many other significant life milestones. I offer a strong sounding board, and when needed, a soft place to land that will assist you in making tough and important life decisions. I will always show up and focus on YOU...I've got your back!

Stress Management

Stress Management

Effectively managing stress is about more than just enduring or surviving. It's about transforming how you handle life's challenges. At Highly Sensitive Therapy and Wellness, I recognize the deep impacts that chronic stress has on health and overall well-being. My tailored treatment plans, featuring techniques from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Solution-Focused Therapy help you identify your main stressors so you can start managing them effectively. Once that is done, I help shift the focus on rebalancing your life to increase comfort and create more space in your schedule. By increasing skills and tools for identifying and working with your stress (instead of against it), clients feel empowered and able to handle their challenges with more ease and greater peace..

Boundary Work

Boundary Work

Do you find it difficult to say "no," or often put others' needs before your own? Do you ever feel like you or your opinions aren't seen or respected by others? Do you feel dread when it is time to have a conversation about something that is important to you? These signs indicate a strong need for boundaries. At Highly Sensitive Therapy and Wellness, I understand that setting boundaries can be tough, but it's crucial for protecting your personal space and promoting healthy communication, emotional safety, and overall well-being. I provide education, strategies and support for effectively asserting your space and communicating your needs. Positive results of effective boundaries are higher confidence in self, stronger use of voice, and opportunities to get clear on what you want and need from others. Book a free consult now and we will start the conversation about how you can start implementing healthy boundaries now to create more safety and peace in your life and relationships.

Therapy for Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

Therapy for Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

What is a Highly Sensitive Person? Do you need extra time to process your emotions and the experiences happening around you? Are you impacted by loud sounds, sights, smells, or certain textures? Are you someone who "notices everything" including subtleties that others just don't see? Do you feel all of your feelings in a big way, or often feel misunderstood or that you can't quite find a place to fit in? If so, you might be an HSP. My specialized services for Highly Sensitive People offer more than just coping mechanisms for physical and emotional sensitivity. I delve into how being highly sensitive impacts your life and relationships and use this insight to develop therapeutic strategies that enhance your inherent strengths as an HSP. This focused approach helps HSPs not only manage the elements of this trait that can feel challenging, but to figure out how to create a life that allows their sensitivity to work FOR them, not against them. Since 15- 20% of the population has this Highly Sensitive Trait, I have found much success in assisting my HSP clients in owning this trait as part of their identity, exploring how they uniquely experience life through an HSP lens, as well as finding ways to utilize this trait to live a more comfortable and manageable life.
